
India's 1st Outsourcing Mission to China

PROPOSAL
India China Alliance Centre (ICAC) is an organisation which focuses on promoting Sino-Indian bilateral trade, investment and
cultural co-operation. It has strong linkages with Mainland China across Provinces on the Economic, Business, Trade and
Cultural front. The India China Alliance Centre was officially launched on 30th October, 2003 in New Delhi in the presence of
Mr. A.K Thakur, the then Joint Secretary (East Asia), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Mr. Hao Kang
Li, Vice Mayor, Chengdu Municipal People's Government, Sichuan Province, The People's Republic of China.
China's economic success over the last two and a half decades has attracted World's attention and has been the subject of
many an article in the International Media. Reactions to China's performance have varied from astonishment to disbelief. In
India, some view China as a manufacturing giant that would soon conquer India's domestic market. Others are dismissive of
China's success saying that it is based on investment and marginal pricing, not sustainable factors in the long term. The
fact, however, remains that China is the fastest growing economy in the World
Against this backdrop, India China Alliance Centre is pleased to announce India's 1st Outsourcing Mission to China from
Monday 1 – Sunday 7 December, 2008. The Mission is being coincided with BPO North Asia Conference to be held at Grand Mercure
Hongqiao, Shanghai www.bponorthasia.com The Mission would also visit Tianjin and Dalian.
The primary objectives would be:
- To attend BPO North Asia Conference on 2nd and 3rd December in Shanghai
- To get a real feel of Outsourcing developments in China
- To identify business opportunities
The programme in Shanghai would also include a meeting to be organized by Dr. Jianbiao Dai, Executive President of Shanghai Informatization Youth Talent Association (SIYTA) Chairman of DragonSoft group Ltd. CEO of Dragon Software Park. India China Alliance Centre has a formal cooperation MoU with SIYTA. The programme in Tianjin would include interaction with both Industry and Government, Networking Lunch, Presentation on Investment Opportunities, visit to a BPO / High Tech Zone, Software Park. The programme in Dalian would be similar to the programme in Tianjin.
